Great Concert!!!!

OK, I'm slightly biased, but I'm not one to complement unless I truly mean it. PSWE played amazingly well tonight. The band was "on" technically and truly was getting at the expressive aspects of all of the repertoire. The program fit together extremely well - I felt that there was a natural progression from beginning to end.

Special kudos go to our many soloists of the evening. In no particular order, and my apologies to whomever I missed: Ken, Anne Sluyter, Dean, Debbie, Karen, Mary, Robert, Terry, Linda, Graeme, Ferdinand, Rob and the entire percussion section. Rob Mann, you played outstandingly well - I can't wait until next week! Dave and Mary, thanks for all of your work on the performance.

If you missed it, you can still make it to hear the program at Kay Meek next weekend.

Wow! Great concert you guys....it was a very weird experience to be sitting in the audience rather than on the stage, but at the same time I felt a huge surge of pride, as the last notes faded away, to be associated with such a talented bunch of musicians. Can't wait to come back and play with you!

It was great to see you in the audience, too! I know that it was a hell of a commute on a dark and rainy night. ;)

Very approachable and enjoyable concert. I've heard from audience members, who are not regular attendees, how much they enjoyed the repertoire and the performance. Special mention was made of the wonderful sound of the clarinet section. Looking forward to next Saturday!

"Just wanted to say I really enjoyed your concert of November 14th. I was reminded of how special some literature is for wind ensemble, the curious should not miss it’s encore performance in West Vancouver on the 21st. When I saw the program, I knew I had to hear it to believe it! You pulled it off, musically exciting and rewarding.
Cheers!"
